I previously owned an LG Blu Ray player but after an update supplied by LG it took away the multi region function capability to play region 1 DVDs. So the shop who supplied it gave me a refund (almost a year later) so I purchased this unit (prior to purchasing a Sony - avoid like the plague) and I have no regrets! The picture quality is superb, both on DVD and Blu-Ray and WI-FI connects to my router with no problem at all. It has limited features, such as You Tube, Picassa and the Weather but this is a Blu Ray player and not a multi media centre and it does exactly what it says on the tin. I can't review the 3D capabilities as I don't have a 3D TV but at least it's '3D ready'! I had none of the problems one of the other reviewers mention and this is a powerful machine. This is the one I actually wanted over the Sony but Amazon were out of the stock at the time and since it was Christmas I needed a player fairly quickly. Needless to say I'm glad the Sony played up so I could buy this little gem. If in doubt don't be, as you won't regret it!
